Period Poverty & Advocacy

This workshop unpacks the social and economic barriers that create period poverty, shows how inequity impacts education, health, and community belonging, and offers simple ways to get involved in advocacy.

“My daughter (was at your session) so this gave us an opportunity to bring up the topic of periods with her as we have never discussed it in our household. Turns out she has heard about it at school from peers but never talked about it with a teacher or in curriculum. Needless to say, it was eye-opening to learn she is getting her information from kids instead of a trusted source like educators or family. We talked about it at great length that night and will continue to have open dialogue with her (and her younger brother).”
